Field of Dreams
Our flying site is located on a privately-owned field near the intersection of Lister Road NE and 22nd NE. It is a large grass field with a maintained runway approximately 60 feet wide and 300 feet long. It is set on a low knoll that allows operations in nearly every direction. The field is approximately 200 feet above sea level.
The prevailing North/South winds are aligned with the runway, and there is a small, maintained cross-landing strip for the odd days when the wind is not cooperating.
We have a winch and retriever that can deliver full-pedal launches for moldies, but has facilities for the lightest of built-up models.
We also have a radio impound box, an outhouse and a 16 by 18 foot shelter with tables and chairs. Barbecue equipment is available and is used for fun-flys and fly-ins throughout the year.
